Are you a good conductor?

Weaved into the tapestry of my life this past month has been some vibrant moments for me. In order for you to see all the color I’m going to be sharing these events with you over the next few blogged writings. Allow me to begin.

The children sat eagerly as instruction was given on the experiment of how to prove what is the better conductor: aluminum foil or carpet? The hypothesis differed among the children and upon the completion of the experiment the discussion as to why their foot became colder on the foil was quite engaging. To see their smiles when they understood the concept was a joy.

I’m only going to imagine that you understand the concept of what is a good conductor of heat and what is not. Having this basic knowledge and perhaps having tested it on a physical level let me ask you the same question that I asked the children.

“Now I’m not talking about heat, but love. Can you be a conductor of God’s love?”

How?

You can start by accepting His love, His Son Jesus Christ into your heart.  And by doing so you can love others in ways that you couldn’t ever imagine…

…and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. Romans 5:5

When you accept that hug from your spouse, your parents, or your children…God pours his love into your heart. When someone shares a kind word or two when you’re blue…God pours his love into your heart. When you take time to pray…God pours his love into your heart.

And when you find yourself filled to the brim and overflowing, let that love run over onto the people in your sphere of action. Spread the love of God and His Son Jesus Christ everywhere you go. Why? Because Love is beautiful.
