This week, it’s for real.  All summer, up till now, has been a time of preparation.  But Tuesday was it.  My first day tutoring with Classical Conversations AND also for the first time, homeschooling my oldest son.   The big day and the reality of it all swept into Wednesday and left me ready for rest.  (Which is why I’m writing to you a day late…)

I will tell you that it is absolutely amazing to me how God has chosen me for this new journey and the children that he has placed in my path.  It almost leaves me speechless.  Tuesday He overwhelmed me with peace so much that I wasn’t standing there stuttering in front of the children.  The encouragement from the parents was wonderful and reminded me that I’m not alone.  I wasn’t doing this on my own.

Why is that important?  Well, have you ever been so deep into something that when you stopped for a break and looked around, you couldn’t help but wonder, am I doing this alone and then all of a sudden the task seemed greater?  Or wonder, why am I doing this?

And then something amazing happens.  God reminds you.  He sets people in your path,  people that He has purposed, because they too are a part of His plan, and then he encourages you.  He reminds you of his colossal permeating steadfast unfailing love…(trust me, it’s better than Calgon,) and then you can breath…

I’ve just got to ask, have you seen the movie Epic yet?  It looked a little corny to me at first, but it was a great movie.  If I had to sum it up into one or two brief sentences it would be this- we are all different and unique, trying to find out what are purpose is, (where we fit into His grand design,) all the while darkness and decay tries to convince us that we are alone.  Then, taking that bold step of action (faith), we remember that we are family and no matter what the decay/darkness tells you,  you are not alone.

So today I want to remind you that you too can be a part of something Epic.  God’s Family.  Acts 16:31 tells us to “…believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved – you and your household….For if you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10: 9)…  For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ‘ (John 3:16)

The Body of Christ=Epic Proportions

Hallelujah!

When was a time that you were neck deep in work and were overwhelmed?  How did God remind you that you weren’t alone?
