What’s underneath it all?
Monday I shared with you about the naked trees and the vast amount of them…It’s my desire to draw a parallel between these trees and us, (meaning people.)
I went to the doctors this morning and all around me were people that needed medical attention (or else they wouldn’t have been there, right?) How many people do you know, right at this very moment, that have a sickness? Or have been affected by cancer? Do you know anyone with depression, stress, or anxiety? Like the tree covered in fungus, these things can cause death.
While watching the news in the waiting room it talked about rumors of war. It spoke of people who were angered at others with the intentions of displaying a cross. It shared much that made me wish I could turn that TV off. It was filled with much darkness, complaining, and selfishness. Like the trees that lost their bark, what really was inside was revealed. DARKNESS or LIGHT?
Read aloud: “He reveals the deep and hidden things: he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.”(Daniel 2:22)
…those trees seemed to be spreading their disease from one to another. How much more do we?
The trees no longer would bear there long evergreen needles. Their roots were exposed, yet still buried in the ground they were no longer living.
Have you ever gone camping? What do you use to burn?
John 15:6 reads “If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.”
Where do you stand? (Are you being affected by others?)
If your innermost thoughts were revealed what would be seen?
